MACONDO BEACH HOUSE Seal Rocks
A spacious and peaceful 4-bedroom eco-friendly beach house which sleeps 8 with all linen and towels provided. Just bring your beach towels.
Macondo is a little piece of paradise, conveniently located 3.5 hours drive from Sydney and 1.5 hours from Newcastle. Perfect to unplug for a weekend or a long holiday.
Designed by a local architect, this light-filled, spacious and peaceful property delivers the best of the beach and bush.
The thoughtful design means there is room for all to be together without being on top of each other great for family holidays, group retreats and team building getaways.
GROUND LEVEL: Ample parking, native garden, lawn and garden shower for a quick post swim rinse.
BED/BATH: All 4 bedrooms have private entrances which lead onto a central casual seating area, garden and a hidden drying area for laundry.
Macondo has 4 Bedrooms - 1 King room & 2 Queen bedrooms and 2 Single beds. All linen is supplied.
All bedrooms have: screened windows and doors, fans and Wi-fi.
Bathroom includes: two rainforest showers, two loos, a double size sink, washing machine, dryer and hair dryer. Eco-friendly laundry, shower and hand soaps provided.
LIVING: An open plan pavilion with polished wooden floors, large comfy lounge area, great modern kitchen, dining area seating 10.
The central kitchen (as always, the heart of any home!) features a long island bench/ breakfast bar and well-appointed galley kitchen with pantry, fridge, gas cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher. All set up to cater for your family or group. Please help yourself to a little rosemary for the lamb or other herbs growing in the garden.
The wall-length cushioned bench in the dining room is a perfect reading nook and drawers below hold table settings, candles and outdoor games.
Wi-fi available in all rooms. Chromecast a movie, stream your music on our sound system.
Winter guests can cosy up in front of the combustion stove fire to play cards and board games.
OUTDOOR: Enjoy the gorgeous native garden, lawn area and covered outdoor dining area, gas BBQ, plus a hammock and sun lounges to put your feet up and relish tranquil treetops and birdsong.

Seal Rocks is a rare treasure on our coast truly unspoiled with excellent surf, many beaches, Myall National Park and the gentlest bay for kids or enjoying a quiet beach day. The bay also offers great snorkelling, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and is known for its diving.
Most days you will see dolphins and from May to October whales are often seen in the bay and near the Lighthouse.

You can have the most wonderful time doing nothing or, here are a few ideas of other things to do.
Take a stroll to both Boat beach and No 1 Beach (near the campground). Either of these beaches are perfect for your morning dip.
Youll pass the General Store and the best coffee in the region at Single Fin coffee van.
Seal Rocks is a step back in time in a lot of ways (all the best ones!) so the store has essentials but keep in mind for a supermarket you will need to jump in the car.
A walk to Sugarloaf Lighthouse is a must through the National Park. Beyond its natural beauty Seal Rocks area is famous for its surf breaks Treachery and Yagon beaches are close by.
Fishing or snorkelling at the beach, horse-riding, local markets, Pacific Palms Recreation Club on Wallis Lake for great fish and chips and a beer with a view, Frothy Coffee at Smiths Lake. Boat, SUP and board rentals are all nearby. Also close to Blueys Beach, Elizabeth Beach, Forster and Tuncurry.
